ABOUT
Support sessions
The business support sessions will take place on Zoom and will be presented by Families First Director Ann Van Dyke, MBE.
Since 2011 Ann has worked nationally as a consultant, working to support positive change in children and family services, particularly in early years and childcare, and focussing on inequality and inclusion as central throughout.
Introduction
The course takes the trainee on a journey of reconsidering what it is they aim to do and how they weave inclusion throughout a business planning process. Business planning for inclusion also involves thinking about supply and demand in an area, and what percentage of children with SEND are actually likely to need additional support, well as where responsibility for inclusion rests and how it can be successfully shared. A series of examples from our work with other providers nationally are shared throughout to keep the session ‘real’. Each 2 hour course delivered twice a term (one day time and one evening) covers ten steps to business planning success.
