Welcome to this training…
This training is targeted at those who work in wraparound settings. Wraparound refers to the government funded scheme to support before and after schools care which supports families to work and children to have great experiences outside of school. Safeguarding in this sector requires some specific skills and knowledge.
This course should take you about 2-3 hours to complete.
As you will be aware, in September 2026 the Government made updates to Keeping Children Safe in Education and the Early Years Foundation Stage. You can find out more about these changes by clicking on the links. This guidance does not substantively alter this course, but we will be updating it over the next few weeks to reflect the changes.
We are going to work through six modules:
- A Brief Revision of Some Key Facts About Safeguarding
- Safeguarding in the Wraparound Sector
- Partnership Working and Information Sharing
- Making Safeguarding Inclusive in the Wraparound Sector
- Creating a Safe Environment
- The Voice of the Child
