Wraparound: The missing jigsaw piece in the proposed SEND reforms?

A jigsaw with a missing piece which is shown below - it is labelled 'Wraparound'.

Wednesday 22nd April,
9.30–10.30am

The government’s proposed SEND reforms currently make no mention of the wraparound sector and we are concerned that this could magnify the gap in access that already exists for children with SEND and their families.

Whilst we wholeheartedly welcome additional resource and change to support inclusion in the early years and in schools, we also recognise the crucial role that providers of services outside of school play in supporting school age children and their families.

As a community interest company, we want to make a difference for children and families and would like to offer an opportunity for you to join us in that aim…

We would like to invite you to join us for a Teams meeting to discuss our responses to the consultation and what support for the wraparound sector could look like.
